Cemetry in Washington D.C.

I had a walk 2006 through the Washington D.C. cemetry in Georgetown on a warm and sunny Tuesday, while I had holidays.

This cemetry is absolutly beautiful. I saw a lot of old graves and tombs. I was so quiet there right in the middle of the city. You could feel the history and sadness there. Such  an impressing and inspiring atmosphere.

Many of the tombs had ornaments on them.

We don’t have such huge graves here in Germany. Compared to our graveyards, every one here in D.C was an artwork. Beautiful details, little stories and tons of art on them.

I found these roses on some stairs.

I couldn’t decide between colour and black and white.
